Aviation jobs are in high demand

Posted on Oct 27, 2014

With the recent announcement that internationally-renowned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) corporation AAR would be building a large facility at the Chicago-Rockford International Airport and bringing between 500-1,000 high jobs, interest in Rock Valley College’s aviation maintenance technology program has never been stronger.

RVC has already broken ground on a brand-new facility at the airport, right next to the AAR facility.  RVC plans to expand its program to meet the needs of the region, and to make sure as many of those high-paying new jobs are filled with people from the area as possible.

While AAR’s arrival is bringing renewed attention to the need for airframe and powerplant technicians, many other Rockford-based companies are also looking for qualified technicians.  There has never been a better time to enroll in the aviation maintenance technology program.
