Tell us a little about your job at RVC.
I previously worked at the RVC SBDC (Small Business Development Center) for 18 years until the program ended. I was able to return to RVC in April 2016 as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Arts & Social Sciences. I absolutely love being able to support the Dean and all of the faculty in our division. Every day is something new.
What inspires you?
My children inspire me. My two children have both completed their masters, and both have married and have started families. It makes me so proud to be their mother that I want to continue to be the very best for them.
What do you like to do for fun?
Most weekends during the summer you will find us camping. Otherwise we are spending time with our grandchildren and family.
What was your very first job?
Working at Rockford Greenhouse. I find that odd as I really don’t like gardening.
Who are your role models?
My sister is my role model. If ever I need a different perspective on a situation, I can count on her to talk me through it.
Where is your favorite place to go at RVC?
I love to stand on the bridge near the ERC/PAR and watch the creek flow.
What is your favorite quote or words to live by?
Make it a great day…the choice is up to you!
What is the best advice you have ever received?
It is never too late to live happily ever after.

It is true, I am a Fanilow…Barry Manilow

Good fish tacos
Where do you like to go or what do you like to do when you have a long weekend?
Camping in Wisconsin
What might surprise people to learn about you?
I am a BIG Nascar fan.

What has been your biggest personal challenge?
Exercise….I don’t like it but know I have to do it.
What’s the next big thing coming up in your life that you are looking forward to?
My youngest granddaughter is turning 1 in July.
