Peer Mentoring at RVC

Posted on Aug 15, 2017

The Getting Started Center (GSC) at Rock Valley College is here to support you during your time at RVC. In addition to the New Student Welcome event that the GSC hosts at the beginning of every semester, we can also provide a helping hand through our Peer Mentor program.

Peer mentors are RVC students just like you! We have a diverse group of students at different stages of their journey at RVC. They’re here to provide real answers from real students. Transitioning to college can be a little daunting, but you can rely on our peer mentors to help answer your questions and find the resources you need to help you succeed at RVC. When I doubt, don’t suffer silently through it, ask a peer mentor.

If you’re looking for ways to be more involved in campus, the peer mentors can help with that too. RVC offers many opportunities to get involved. There is even a Peer Mentoring Club, that has lots of fun events planned for this coming year and we’re always looking for members.

For more information, please visit our Peer Mentoring page and use our comment box to leave questions or set up a 1:1 meeting with a peer mentor. Or, send us an email at RVC-GSC-Connect@rockvalleycollege.edu and one of our peer mentors will connect with you.
