Welcome to our “Get to Know Me” feature for RVC employees! Today we are going to get to know Samantha Gray.

Signage & Inventory Technician


Department: Office of Business Services


Tell us a little about your job at RVC.

I take care of all things signage at RVC. Name/Title plates, Directory Maps, Emergency Procedure Maps, etc. I also help out in Print Services and Business Services as need.


What motivates or inspires you?

My daughter.


What scares you?

Snakes. Small ones specifically. It’s a textbook phobia.


What do you like to do for fun?

I am really introverted so staying at home watching whatever I am in the mood for makes me very happy.


What was your very first job?

My first job was working in the maintenance program over the summer and after school at Boylan High School when I was 15 to pay off my school tuition.


Who are your role models?

My personal role model is my Grandma. Before she passed she had survived the deaths of 2 of her children, 2 husbands, and 4 younger brothers. Very strong woman.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Happiness is a choice.

What was the first concert you ever attended and what is the most recent concert you have attended?

The only concert I have ever been too was Garth Brooks in Phoenix, AZ.

A young Mark Walburg


Where is your favorite place to eat?

Beef a Roo or Red Lobster


Where do you like to go or what do you like to do when you have a long weekend?

Again being and introvert being at home really energizes me and make me happy. But if I had to choose somewhere else it would be somewhere on a lake in Wisconsin with no cell signal.


What is your biggest pet peeve?

Bullies and people who let them get away with it.


What might surprise people to learn about you?

My fiance and I have been together for 10 years.


What’s the next big thing coming up in your life that you are looking forward to?

Another child coming April 2019!
