Get to Know Me: Tes Sullivan

Welcome to our “Get to Know Me” feature for RVC employees! Today we are going to get to know Tes Sullivan.

Title: Pathway Coordinator


Department: Early College


Tell us a little about your job at RVC.

I work high school students who are taking dual credit classes at their high school. I also work directly with the development of the pathways.


What motivates or inspires you?

Knowing that I can help someone each day and knowing that everyday is a chance for growth motivates me.


What scares you?

Failure and letting others down.


What do you like to do for fun?

My favorite thing to do is coach volleyball. I also love being outdoors or spending time with friends.


What was your very first job?

I was a hostess at Famous Dave’s


Who are your role models?

My mother and my grandfather. They are the toughest fighters and they both have the biggest hearts.

I am a Life Member of Alpha Phi Omega. It is a national service fraternity.

Law and Order: SVU or The Resident


What was the first concert you ever attended and what is the most recent concert you have attended?

David Archuleta was my first concert and the most recent was Nelly


Who is your celebrity crush?

Zac Efron or Matt Czuchry


Where is your favorite place to eat?

Nodo in Iowa City


Where do you like to go or what do you like to do when you have a long weekend?

I like going on adventures in my free time. So any new place with friends.


What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people do not say bless you after you sneeze or when people do not say thank you for holding a door open for them.


What might surprise people to learn about you?

I hate taking “normal pictures” I rather have the funny faces and the silly laughs


What’s the next big thing coming up in your life that you are looking forward to?

I get married on September 15th! OMG 🙂
